I took a walk down to Library Park in Lakeport yesterday and watched the aquatic plant harvesting machines at work. The County of Lake hired this company called Aquatic Harvesting Inc. to do what they do to improve the conditions around the lake. I just hope they will work all of the heavy areas on the lake where boaters come in and out of like Soda Bay, Corinthian Bay, State Park and all of the county parks. Here is a short video clip showing these harvesting teams at work along with Lakeport Fire Department doing some equipment tests and families enjoying the day at the park.

There are noticeable trends with the residential market in Lake County California. Provided below is a month to month snapshot of inventory and price changes for the past 6 months, past year and past 4 years. The peak inventory of residential homes was in the summer of 2010 when there were over 900 active residential listings. Now as of Wednesday February 13th there are approximately 413 active residential listings.
Property types included in this statistical analysis includes: Single Family Residence, Condominiums, Townhouse, ‘Manufactured homes with or without 433 foundations, and Cabins. Mobile Homes are not included in this analysis.

Six month inventory showing a decrease from 600 listings in September 2012 down to 413 active residential listings in February 2013. Time frame is from 1 Mar 2012 to 13 Feb 2013

This six-month sales history shows month-to-month sales of residential properties since September 2012. We are about 1/3 of the way through the month of February and we expect to see the month sales keeping with the December – January sales or possibly better.
